ARTS 4 HEART was a success last night! The evening started off with guests having the opportunity to bid on their favorite celebrity pieces, enjoy appetizers courtesy of
Pita Kabob, wine from Mr. G's Wines, cookies from the Lunchbox and truffles done by HEART staff. Guests also enjoyed having their picture taken in the photo booth with their
loved ones. Mayor Amy Shuklian, also an ARTS 4 HEART celebrity artist, was the MC for the evening, ensuring things moved along smoothly. The evening culminated with a competitive live auction of the art pieces.
Celebrity Artist Anees Akhund's piece of art went to the highest bidder for $600! Anees had not painted for over 30 years and after ARTS 4 HEART he now plans on making painting a
hobby! Our celebrity artists did a wonderful job and all proceeds from the event will benefit the Pro-Youth/HEART After-School Program. Click here for the photo album of the event
Every year, Pro-Youth conducts at least two surveys of our students. The first survey is conducted approximately mid-year and informs us about student perspectives and
their experience in HEART. The second survey is conducted towards the end of the school year and shows progress towards these goals. Following are the summary results
of the mid-year student survey, conducted in October 2011. In all, 2,855 students were surveyed. ... more.
